Lorraine B. Moran, age 92, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on August 25, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on Dec 18, 1924, to Paul and Frances (Littel) Miller. She was united in marriage to George Moran in 1946.
Lorraine worked as lunchroom lady at Deforest Elementary for many years, also worked as staff accountant at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Deforest.
She was a faithful charter member of St. Olaf Catholic Church.
She loved walking 3 miles a day well into her 90's and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Lorraine enjoyed a weekly get together with the ladies at Poynette beauty shop.
She is survived by children, Patrick Moran (Patricia) of Colorado, Jayne Thompson (Dennis) of Cottage Grove, Mary Carlson (Scott) of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Mary Jane Bollig; brother, Bob (Audrey) Miller of Madison; and brother-in-law, Tom Moran (Ann); and many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; love of life, George Moran; sisters, Delores Adams, Doris (Gene) Ellis, Lucille (Wally) Busse, and Pauline (Urban) Bollig; brother, Jerry Miller (Avis); brothers-in-law, Delbert Bollig of Mount Horeb; Ted Moran, Robert Moran, John Moran, Donald Moran; and sister-in-law Mary Moran-Topp of Morrisonville.
