Peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 1998 at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home, Lac Du Bonnet, Man.
Maria Solnes, aged 81 years, beloved wife of the late Sverre Solnes of Lac Du Bonnet.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Carol Solnes and her family, Kerry (Rick) and son David, Chris and special friend Yvonne, Janice Tuokko and her children, Sherry and Dean, Bob Solnes (Pat) and their children, Cory and Trevor.
Also surviving are her brothers, Alex (Bereth), Henry (Alwena), Victor (Geta), and Ben (June); and son-in-law, Paul Tuokko.
She was predeceased by her husband; and by brothers, Jake and Fred; sisters Martha and Lena.
Funeral service will be held Saturday April 4, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, Lac Du Bonnet, with Pastor Don Reimer officiating. Interment in the Riverland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Lac Du Bonnet Pallative Volunteers who were when we could not.
If friends so desire memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
