Wyoming County Times, April 13, 1961. Mrs. Julia R. Higgins, 79, of Dale, a lifetime resident of this area, died Wednesday, April 5 in the Wyoming County Community Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in the town of Middlebury, November 7, 1881, the daughter of Wm. H. and Mary Pfenninger Roeper. Her husband is Louis H. Higgins. The couple observed their 60th wedding anniversary last December. Mrs. Higgins was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Wyoming. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Higgins leaves one son, Roeper Higgins of Warsaw, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and five sisters, Mrs. Fred Carlton of Wyoming, Mrs. Mabel Quinlan of LeRoy, Mrs. Fanny Grisewood of Wyoming, Miss Clara Roeper of White Plains and Mrs. Helen Main of Wyoming. A service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Weeks Funeral Home in Warsaw, conducted by the Rev. Herbert G. Councill, Jr. Bural was in the Warsaw Cemetery.
