He was a graduate of Marmion Military Academy in Aurora. He was first married to Connie Jeske and later married Sandra Herman on February 14, 1987 in Tomahawk. Dave spent 25 years at Fox River Foods in Montgomery, IL and later was the owner/operator of Tomahawk Heavy Duty Truck Parts for 22 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, camping, gambling, and socializing with friends.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Theis of Tomahawk; one son, Mark Theis of North Aurora, IL; two daughters, Tami (Jon) Stock of North Aurora, IL, Kari Gossett of Batavia, IL; four brothers, Tom (Jan) Theis of Mount Airy, MD, John (Shirley) Theis of Lake Suzy, FL, Al (Barb) Theis of Tinley Park, IL, Tim (Jan) Theis of North Aurora, IL; two sisters, Linda (Lester) Lee, Mary (Craig) Breyne both of North Aurora, IL. David is further survived by five grandchildren; his first wife, Connie Jeske of North Aurora, IL; and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services for David Theis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 from Krueger & Sons Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 12, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. The family would appreciate memorials to Ministry Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
There will also be a Memorial Service on March 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Batavia Covenant Church, 1314 W. Main St., Batavia, Illinois.
