Enlisted for 7 months in the Confederate Army. Pvt., Co. K, 6 Reg Texas Cavalry on Feb. 12, 1862 in Washington Arkansas. He had a horse valued at $100 and equipment valued at $10 including a rifle.

In July 1862 he appears in Co K 6th Tex Cav. Phifer's Brigade on a list of mechanics in Maury's Division Army of the West. Trade: Carpenter. Enlisted in Priceville Miss July 1862 W. A. Alderman (misspelled Aldman)

Died in the Second Battle of Corinth, Miss on Oct. 4 1862. Orig. listed as wounded in battle Oct 4, 1862 and in hospital at Oxford, Miss. Then listed severely wounded at Battle of Corinth & not heard from since, supposed dead.
