Vera E. Findling, age 90, of Marion, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Marion.

Born April 14, 1916, in Marion to the late Grover and Hazel (Henderson) Pierson, Vera retired from General Electric.

On June 7, 1937, she married Rudolph Findling in Catlettsburg, Ky., and he passed away May 3, 1999.

Vera is survived by one son, Gerald Findling of Green Valley, Ariz., Harold Yates of Bucyrus, who was like a second son, special niece Tada (Bob) Postell of Nevada, Ohio, three sisters, Margaret Barkley of Marion, Betty Daas of Marion and Ethel Muller of ValleJo, Calif., numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her cat Annie.
Vera was a very special lady who loved children and animals. Vera was an avid gardener, winning many awards for her prize roses. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends and was especially known for her wonderful pies.

She will be greatly missed; our hearts are sad and broken but we know she is with God.
