MENKE--The death of Mrs. Mary Gesina Menke, an old resident of Columbus, occurred at her home last Friday, at 6 o'clock in the morning. Mrs. Menke was born in Germany, March 16, 1838. At the time of her death she was 76 years of age. She came to this country a number of years ago and has lived here for the most part ever since her arrival to the United States. At the time of her death she was a widow, her husband having died a good many years ago. Mrs. Menke was buried Tuesday afternoon in Columbus cemetery. The services were conducted in the German Reformed church, Rev. Neumarker officiating.
