Emil Loock died Tuesday, December 29, 1931, at his home southeast of Wabasso.
He was born in Germany in 1861 and at age five, immigrated to America with his family first settling at Watertown, Wisconsin, later moving to Renville County, Minnesota.
In 1894, he was married to Louisa Gersdorf at Renville, Minnesota. Nine children were born to Emil and Louisa, seven of whom survived their father.
Survivors include his wife; five sons: Erick of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, and Clarence, Christ, Theodore and Martin of Wabasso; two daughters: Alma (Mrs. Paul) Thiel and Esther Loock both of Wabasso; nine grandchildren; three brothers: John of Parshal, North Dakota, Julius of New Richmond, Wisconsin, William of Echo, Minnesota; and four sisters: Mrs. Albert Tolzman and Mrs. Louis Gruenert both of Renville, Mrs. Annie Miller of Danube, Minnesota, and Mrs. Louis Prawl of Brownton, Minnesota.
