Nadine Watkinson of La Conner passed away October 6, 2017 following a brief illness. She was born June 19, 1931 in Mount Vernon, the youngest child of William and Ella (Schroeder) Berger.
Nadine was raised on the family farm west of Mount Vernon and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1949.
She married Wayne Watkinson on November 23, 1951. Nadine was employed by the Skagit County Clerk's Office for many years until her retirement in 1991.
She had many interests and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She maintained close friendships with neighbors, co-workers, and high school classmates throughout her life.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, parents Ella and William, sister Maxine Booth, and brother Wilfred Berger.
Survivors include son & daughter-in-law Mark & Marguerite Watkinson, grandson Bryce Watkinson, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services. Private burial was at Bay View Cemetery.
