She was born on Oct. 22, 1932 in James, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bishop Alex Wall; three sons, Johnny Ray (Jonk) Wall, Alan (Reb) Wall and Ronnie James Wall; one daughter, Sandra Tolson; and her parents; Preston Davis and Bulah Johnson.
Mother Wall was a servant at heart and a worshiper in spirit. She loved the Lord with all her heart and wanted to teach others about her Lord and Savior. Mother Wall was known around Floydada, Plainview and beyond as a baker. Her banana-nut breads, cookies and 7-Up cakes were her signature for the love she had for others. She said "I show my love by giving to others." On any given day her freezers were stocked with banana-nut breads and all kinds of cakes. All you had to do is ask Grandma Wall for a cake or bread and she'd go to one of her many freezers and return with your gift of love. She has been known to pack up breads and cakes and mail them to whom-ever requested them. These gifts of love were not only for her family, but also for others, like the young man who carried her water to her car or the person who pumped her gas. She loved to give.
She is survived by three sisters, Valerie Davis Parris of Las Vegas, Nevada, Natalie Stark of Houston, Texas, and Neferka Raankh of San Diego, California. Her legacy of love is carried on by her children, Jerry (Georgia) Wall of Plainview, Arthur (Sherrie) Wall of Plainview, Jeannie (Donald) Glenn of Cedar Hill, Brenda Wall of Plainview, Linda (Thomas) McClendon of Amarillo, and Alex Dwayne Wall of Arlington, 28 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren and extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends from every walk of life.
