In November 1721, the ship La Saone, arrived at Biloxi with Bernard Vico, of Ingleheim, his wife, and 2 children as passengers.
On November 12 1724 the family of Bernard Wich was enumerated at the old German village and described as follows:
No. 25: Bernard Wich, 46, native of Teinlach in Wurtemberg, Lutheran, laborer, his wife, 3 children, a boy and two girls, the oldest is 13, and the youngest is two months., a sow, two arpents of terrain. He harvested about 15 barrels of Rice and corn.
A further census was taken on January 1, 1726, which listed Bernard Vique, his wife, and 3 children residing on 6 arpents of land at the German village.
On October 3, 1728, Jean Vich was baptized in the parish Church of St. Louis in New Orleans. Although the parents were not mentioned, it is certain that this was a son of Bernard Wich and Veronique Wesele. No marriage for Jean Wich was found, however he did stand as Godfather to Jean Balsom and Marie Marguerite Balsom
Another census of the German Coast was taken in 1731, which found Bernard, his wife 2 children, 1 engage and one Negro slave residing there. The engage could have been David HYMEL
