Tamara Keene, age 66, of Pounding Mill, VA passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Richlands, VA. She was born January 10, 1951 in Richlands, VA. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Mullins. Tamara retired from Lowes at Claypool Hill. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her grandchildren who affectionately called her "Grammy".
Tamara is survived by her husband of 42 years and the love of her life, David Keene; her mother, Loraine Joyce Johnson of Richlands, VA; one daughter, Samantha Keene Taylor and husband Edwin Michael of Norfork, VA; one son, David Adam Keene and wife Natasha Nicole of Wytheville, VA; one sister, Gina Ellen Wysock and husband Glenn of Winterhaven, FL; two grandchildren, Hunter Aden Keene and Layla Natalie Keene; her father-in-law, David Carl Keene of Pilgrims Knob, VA.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 11 at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Richlands, VA with Dr. Marc Brooks and Tom Cordle officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be Blake Robinson, Scott Compton, Michael Taylor, Glenn Wysock, Andy Mitchell, and Tom Cordle. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA.
