Sean Michael Distler, 29, of Macon, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Sean was born on November 8, 1986, in Middletown, OH, the son of Christopher Distler and Linda (Johns) Farnsworth. He was a member of the Moberly Independent Church of Holiness and the Fury Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Dojo in Macon. Sean enjoyed music, playing guitar, body building, practicing Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, helping kids, dogs, and especially spending time with his family.

He is survived by his father, Chris Distler and his wife Shelley of Macon; his mother, Linda Farnsworth and her husband John of College Mound, MO; two brothers, Phillip Distler of Macon, and Matthew Distler and his wife Amanda of Macon; three step-sisters, Lauren Casady, Savannah Casady, and Auburn Casady; one niece, Madison Distler; paternal grandparents, Donald E. Distler and Esther Ristaneo; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Jeanne Johns; several aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Sean was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 20, 2016, at the Moberly Independent Church of Holiness in Moberly, MO, with Pastor Terry Hay officiating. Visitation was at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Family suggests memorials to the Fury Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Dojo in Macon.
