DR. HOWARD A. BOONE , 88, of Memphis, physician, died Thursday at his home. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. He was a charter member and lay reader at Christ United Methodist Church, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of Memphis Medical Society, Shelby County Medical Society, American Medical Association, Tennessee Medical Association, Aesculapians Journal Club, the University Club, Kappa Sigma Fraternity and Phi Chi Medical Fraternity and a former member of Chickasaw County Club. Dr. Boone , the husband of Virginia Boone for 61 years, also leaves a daughter, Jinna Priest of Nashville; two sons, Dr. Howard A. Boone Jr. of Truckee, Calif., and Dr. James E. Boone of Memphis, and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Tennessee Medical Foundation, Christ United Methodist Church Endowment Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
