KENYON -- The funeral for Troy Douglas Hagerty was held at 1 p.m. today at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kenyon with the Rev. Dennis Kampa officiating. Burial was at Vang Lutheran Cemetery in rural Dennison.
Mr. Hagerty, 24, of rural Howard Lake, Minn., and formerly of Kenyon, died Friday (Oct. 16, 1998) at his home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1974, at District One Hospital in Faribault. He attended Kenyon Elementary and High School. He was baptized, received first Holy Communion and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kenyon. He married April Cucich on Sept. 4, 1998, at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake, Minn. He loved farming, tractors, animals, especially dogs and cats, riding his three-wheeler and snowmobile, camping fishing and making people laugh.
Survivors include his wife, April of Spooner, Wis.; one step-daughter, Christina Camen of Spooner; his parents, Douglas and Carol Hagerty of Northfield; one sister, Katrina Hagerty of Northfield; one brother, Todd Hagerty of Wanamingo; maternal grandparents, Milton and Margie Trnka of Lonsdale; and mother-in-law Kathy Bockmeyer of Minong, Wis. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Betty Powers and John Hagerty.
