Josie Ernestine Walter, 94, died Sunday, October 2, 2005. She was born November 3, 1910 in Woodsboro, Texas to Frank and Erna Schlabach Meuret. She was a retired clerk for Carpenter's Store, Haertig's Store and Jordan's Store. She was a faithful member of Faith United Church and Women's Guild; served as treasurer for Sunday School and was a member of Hermann Sons Lodge.
She is survived by her sister; Lola Fuhrken of Nordheim, Texas; sister-in-law, Gladys Brymer of Victoria; nieces, Lee Nell Boenig of Woodsboro, Texas, Janice Whitwell of Pearsall, Texas, Diane Pundt of Refugio, Texas, Vangie Schimer of Yorktown and nephew, Lionel Wolfshohl of Louisiana.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith United Church in Woodsboro with Rev. Bernice Wells officiating.
Burial will follow at LaRosa Cemetery in Woodsboro. Memorials may be made to Faith United Church. P.O. Box 1049, Woodsboro, Texas 78393.
Pallbearers will be Glen Boenig, Dan Boenig, Wesley Whitwell, Steven Whitwell, Walt Franke, Johnny Schlabach, Robert Neal Haertig and Dennis Haertig.
