Stanley G. Beranek, 85, of Watertown, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Johnson Creek.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church presiding. Innichment will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, May 3rd from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials, in Stanley’s name, are suggested to Rainbow Hospice or St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.
Stanley George Beranek was born in Milwaukee on July 4, 1928, son of Jaroslav and Danica (Podgorski) Beranek.
On March 31, 1951, he married Carol Murphy at Holy Angel’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Carol preceded him in death on March 11, 2011.
Stanley graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and retired from APV Crepaco in Lake Mills.
He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, a consistent contributor to the Voice of the People in the Watertown Daily Times and a WWII Coast Guard Veteran.
Survivors include his ten children, Catherine (Michael) Schell of New York; Paul Beranek of Watertown; Barbara (Thomas) Burke of Seattle, WA; Gerald Beranek of Oconomowoc; Jean (Lawrence) Berg of Milwaukee; Connie (Ron) Noe of Watertown; Karen (Dan) Ochs of Waterford; Tom (Jennifer) Beranek of Nashota; Doug (Lynne) Beranek of Antioch, IL and Cheryl (John) Bott of Watertown; twenty grandchildren and two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel; a grandchild, Perry Beranek; a brother, Joseph Beranek and a daughter-in-law, Ann Beranek.
