Rosemary Bischoff Frey Falon, 94, passed away November 30, 2017 at Landmark Care with some family present. She was born Friday, April 13, 1923 in Yakima to Adolph and Mary M. (Clark) Bischoff. She was raised and educated in Yakima and graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1940. She attended Seattle College (University) on a music scholarship. Returning to Yakima she began working at the Ahtanum Farm Labor Camp where she met a young dentist, Mano Frey, from Nebraska. They were married in 1945 and had 6 children. Mano passed away in 1965. In 1967 she met Norman Falon at a Catholic Church event and were married in 1968. With a large blended family, they had many adventures including riding horses, snowmobiles and a tractor until his passing in 1988. She also loved to cook big meals and read cook books.

Rosemary was very involved in the community. Some of her activities included Y.L.I. (Young Ladies Institute), St. Joseph’s Parents Club, Carroll High School Board, P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization for Women), Southwest Rotary, and many more. Her music involvement was deeply rooted in the Church and community. She began playing for the Camarata Club in the early 1950’s and also the Ambassadors. She was a staple at St. Joseph’s, Holy Redeemer and a short period at Holy Family. Rosemary was a constant over many years, forever on demand for special occasions, weddings, funerals, Catholic Charities, school fund raisers and you name it. She retired from playing in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Rev. Anthony Bischoff, S.J., Rev. William Bischoff, S.J., Mervyn Bischoff, Joseph Bischoff, sisters: Maria Bischoff and Betty (Bischoff) Beam. Also preceding her were her first husband, Mano Frey, and second husband, Patrick Norman Falon.

She is survived by her children: Eileen (Dan) Kinney, Mano (Eileen) Frey, Mark (Cindy) Frey, David (Diana) Frey, Mary Frey (Pieter Booth), Rose Ann (David) Brownfield.

Her step-children are: Paul Falon, Patricia Falon, Ray (Corrine) Falon, Barb (Larry) Shannon, Mary Jane (Jim) Richartz, Joanne (Bob) Kembel, Jim (Sandy) Falon, Norma (Dennis) Clark, Dolores (Harold) Barkl, Sharon (Ron) Gillette, Pat Falon, and Mike (Connie) Falon.

She has 36 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Vigil will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:30 am.
