The deceased was born in this city March 13, 1865, and spent her entire life here with the exception of the eighteen years during which she was employed as housekeeper for her cousin, Reverend Schlottman of Evansville Illinois.
She was a daughter of John Niehaus, who died a few years ago. The mother, Mrs. Katherine Niehaus, who conducts the grocery store at Fourteenth and Vermont streets, and four sisters survive.
The sisters are: Misses Mary and Rose Niehaus at home; Mrs. Herman Schullian of this city; and Mrs. H. Watterman, of Hannibal.

The funeral of the late Katrherine Niehaus was conducted from the residence of her mother, Mrs. Katherine Niehaus, 1268 Vermont street, this morning at 8:30 o'clock, and at 9 o'clock from St. Francis church.
The services, at both the house and the church, were conducted by Reverend Father Schlottman, of Evansville Illinois, a cousin of the deceased, by whom Miss Niehaus, for 18 years, was employed as housekeeper.
Interment was at St. Boniface cemetery.
