Caroline A. Krebsbach, 96, Mahnomen, died Sunday, April 9, 2000, in Mahnomen Health Center Nursing Home, for the past five years.
Caroline Anna Klinkhammer was born Dec. 14, 1903, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Weiler) Klinkhammer, in Stewart, Minn., where she attended school. She moved with her family to Beaulieu, Minn., where she worked at Oak Crest Farm, Beaulieu. She married Arthur Krebsbach on Feb. 5, 1923, in Beaulieu. They farmed near Beaulieu. Arthur Krebsbach died in 1960. In 1961 she moved to Mahnomen where she lived until moving to Hillview Board and Care, Waubun, Minn., in 1990.
She is survived by daughters, Corinne Bruggeman and Delores (Milo) Wille, both of Mahnomen, Lorraine Svobodny, Twin Valley, Minn., and Carol Pouppirt, Englewood, Colo.; sons, Delmar (Olive) and Mike (Renay), both of Mahnomen, and Arthur Jr. (Rosemary), Littleton, Colo.; 29 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Stacey (Bernie) Waldhauser and Catherine Dobmeyer, both of South St. Paul, Rene (Ray) Chambers, Englewood, Colo., and Bernice (Bill Sr.) Bruggeman, Mahnomen; and brothers, Jerome (Alvina) and Enos (Mary), both of Mahnomen, and Raphael Joe, St. Cloud, Minn.
She was preceded in death by sons, John and Cyril; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; three sons-in-law; five sisters; and three brothers.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Mahnomen.
Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with a 5 p.m. Christian Mothers Rosary and an 8 p.m. vigil service, Burnside Funeral Home, Mahnomen, and two hours before services in the church.
Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Beaulieu.
