George was born at the family homestead near Hazel Dell Church to George and Bonnabelle (Vallier) Lee.
Growing up and living a farmers life, his father, brothers and sisters (he was 7th of 8 siblings) would truck farm their produce to the Old Market.
He graduated from Underwood High School in 1956 and then entered into the United States Navy and served on the USS Hector as a pattern maker from 1958 to 1961. Then he traveled the world spending time in the Philippines, Japan and Hawaii. He received an Honorable Discharge.
On October 7-1972 he married Kathleen A. Pace and they celebrated 55 years together and blessed with 6 children.
George worked for Lozier Lines, Inwood Cabinets and Council Bluffs Water Works before working and retiring from MUD after 30 years.
His brother Everett told him about Jesus adn George trusted and believed in His name in 1958. He went on to serve at Valley View Baptist adn Southview Baptist Church where he was a decon, trustee and Sunday School Teacher. He also taught Bible Study at the Open Door Mission. He later became a member of Eastern Hill Baptist Church.
He had many paassions, running was somthing he excelled in. During high school cross country he placed in the top 5 at state, 4 years in a row and the Underwood team would win 3 state titles.
He was very active in the Boy Scouts community, including being a Webelo Leader in Packs 3 and 262. He then became the Scout master of troop 262.
George was an avid outdoorsman adn enjoyed many years of hunting, fishing and camping.
