John the son of Frank and Mary (Jerina) Zalaznik was born on September 14th 1926 in Epworth. His childhood years were spent in Farley where they received his Early Education at the St. Joseph School. Following his schooling John entered the military serving with the US Army and later transferring to the US Air Force serving from 1945 to 1946.
John start is 51 year career and the Implement business and Kossuth County where he lived for 10 years until moving into Spencer 1961 where he and his family and continue the equipment business. On October 26th 1987 John married Leanne Rosberg in Elk Point, South Dakota. They made their home in Spencer and in the summer in The Lakes area. John was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in SpencerHe is preceeded in death by his parents, two brothers,one sister and his daughter Karla. He is survived by his wife Leanne of Spencer; his children Susan Baker and her husband Coleman of Vermont; Kent and his wife Dixie of Greenville,Keith and his wife Pat of Mason City; Kevin and his wife Jenny of Spencer; Karol Johnston and her husband Mark of Spirit Lake; Betty Kleine and her husband Jim of Okoboji and Aimee Kleine and her husband Brian of Sherburn Minnesota; two brothers Ed and Ernie and one sister Mary Tujetsch.
