Mrs. Armentrout was born June 27, 1921, in Harrisonburg, and was a daughter of the late Clyde and Pauline Wine Frazier.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Elkton United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, James L. Armentrout III of Elkton; a daughter, Lou A. Harris of Gretna; a brother, Earl Frazier of Harrisonburg; three sisters, Doris Pierce of Zebulin, N.C., Nellie Steele of Mount Sidney, and Jacquelyn Powell of Bridgewater; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. David Reynolds will conduct a memorial service 2 p.m. Sunday at the Elkton United Methodist Church.
