Ida Agusta Beer was born June 28, 1883 in North Vernon, Indiana, the second child of Robert Carl Beer and Agnes Amelia Barth Beer. Her father was a jeweler, as was his father and several of his brothers.
On July 13, 1905, Ida married Joseph Thomas Roseberry. They would make their home in North Vernon, Indiana and have five children:

Ida died September 26, 1941 at the age of 58 in the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage on September 11. According to her death certificate, she was buried on September 29, 1941 in Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon, Indiana. Her husband and parents also are buried there.
