During WWII, Pfc. Kielley served in the 4th platoon of K Company, 311th Infantry, 78th Division in the European Theater as part of a two-man Bazooka team. WIA in the Hurtgen Forest, Germany on 13 December 1944 he earned the Purple Heart. After WWII, he earned two college degrees and made a career of teaching subsequent generations.
