Opal M. Galbraith Cox, 90, Madison, formerly of Greensburg and North Vernon died Monday, March 26, 2007 at the Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Madison.

Born, May 11, 1916 in New Point, Indiana, she was the daughter of Burley and Erma (Freeland) Evans.

She was a former employee in the Nursing Department at the Decatur County Hospital for 31 years and then at the I.O.O.F. Nursing Home in Greensburg for 4 years.

She was married to Carl H. Galbraith on April 8, 1934 and he preceded her in death on January 29, 1988. She then married Charles E. Cox and he preceded her in death in October of 2001.

She is survived by one son, Don Richard Galbraith, Madison; one daughter, Linda Lou (John) Baker, San Clemente, Ca.; one step son, Robert Cox; one step daughter, Joan Hamer, Greensburg; 8 grandchildren and 13 Great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, 1 brother, Vernon Burnett Evans; two sisters, Delma Lee Mozingo, Doris Evelyn Evans.
