SCIO - Irene Marie Gassner, 86, died Tuesday.
She lived in the Scio area all her life. She was a member of the Altar Society and Catholic Order of Foresters. She married Charles Gassner on Oct. 25, 1938.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; sons, George of Oregon City, Leonard of Salem and Gene of Scio; daughters, Delores Gassner of Aumsville and Sharon Etzel of Sublimity; and seven grandchildren.
Visiting will be noon to 5 p.m. Thursday at Weddle Funeral Home in Stayton. Rosary will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Stayton, with Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Contributions: Regis High School (Stayton), St. Mary's Grade School (Stayton), or Mid-Willamette Valley Hospice.
