Kelly D. Sweet, 57, of Hunlock Creek, died Sunday morning, Jan. 28, 2018, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, where she had been a patient.

Born Sept. 8, 1960, in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Rodger and Janet Carter Killian.

She graduated from Northwest Area High School in 1979.

Kelly first worked for the former Country Cousins Shoe Factory, Mocanaqua, from 1979 to 1983, then worked for Dave's Sanitation from 1984 to 1996, and last worked for Sears Logistics from 2001 to 2012.

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Shickshinny.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a brother, Rodger "Tinker" Killian.

Surviving are her husband, Dallas Sweet, whom she married Dec. 25, 1981; two sons, Adam Sweet and his wife, Jacqueline, Glen Lyon; and Rodger Sweet and his wife, Melody, Glen Lyon; a daughter, Angela Sweet, at home; two grandchildren, Noelle and Lauren Sweet; and two sisters, Sue Beaver and her husband, Brett, Mocanaqua; and Nikki Seigfried and her husband, Mike, Shickshinny Valley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 77 N. Main St., Shickshinny, with the Rev. Daniel Potter officiating.

Burial will be in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn.
