Thanks to JMW #47184656 for the obituary below and for adding his pix.Mr. Franklin D. Nalley, 87, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away 6:22 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

He was born November 7, 1932 in Hardinsburg Kentucky, the son of the late Sidney T. and Cattie (Lucas) Nalley. He married Fay Nell Francis (Babbs) Nalley on January 27, 1953. She preceded him in death November 12, 1976. He later married Donna Jean Miller in Galesburg. She preceded him in death in 2005.

Surviving are four children, Ralph D (and Jenny) Nalley of Galesburg, Regina Gale (and Garl) Elliott of Galesburg, Wanda Jean Morris of Galesburg, and Kenneth W. Nalley of Galesburg, a brother, James William Nalley of Galesburg, eight grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jenny Elaine Nalley on October 21, 2012, a sister, Viona Miles on June 16, 2011, and a nephew, Gunnery Sgt. (Ret.) Timothy L. Beacom on November 12, 2004.

Frank worked most of his life on a farm in Kentucky and the Galesburg area. He also worked for Rowe Manufacturing Company and Butler Manufacturing Company in Galesburg until his retirement. He loved playing horseshoes, various card games and chewing tobacco. He also loved his family and friends and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. Frank never missed a moment to brag about his children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. He will be missed by all that really knew him.

Private graveside service will be Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Warren County Hope Cemetery. Chaplain Jordan Knight will officiate. Memorials may be made to the family or American Heart Association.
