She was the former Mary V. Coomes and worked as a receptionist and activity director at the Nazareth Home. She was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church, St. Martha Senior Club and Nazareth Home Auxillary.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Coomes; and a sister, Margaret Ann Kapfhammer.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, a daughter, five brothers, and six grandchildren.
A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Sisters of Charity in Nazareth, KY.
