The Richmond (IN) Item, Monday, June 26, 1899
"Henry H. Mueggenburg died Saturday night unexpectedly at his home, 516 South B street. He was taken ill the day before his death. The deceased was 42 years of age and leaves a widow and three children. The funeral will take place Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, sun time, from St. Andrew's church. St. Joseph Benevolent society, of which the deceased was a member, will attend the funeral."

"The funeral of Henry H. Mueggenburg took place Wednesday morning 10 o'clock from St. Andrew's church, and was very largely attended. the German Catholic Benevolent society of which the deceased was a faithful member attended the funeral in a body. Beside his wife and children he leaves a bereaved mother and four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Brokamp, Miss Lizzie Mueggenburg, of Hamilton, O., and Misses Katie and Mary Mueggenburg of this city."
