Charles J. Kindler, 73, of 217 Paul Place, died today in a local hospital. A native of Jersey City, N.J., he moved to Corpus Christi in 1954. He served as manager of the Surf Motel until his retirement three years ago.
He was an active member of Our Lady Star of the Seas Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 1202 and the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Funeral arrangements are by Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Service.
Survivors include his wife Erma; a son, Edmund C. Kindler of Corpus Christi; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
