Dorothy graduated from Marinette High School in 1947. She worked at Lauerman's Department Store and then Ansul for 20 years, retiring in 1988.
On Aug. 9, 1951, Dorothy married Francis "Jerry" Kitzinger in Marinette; he preceded her in death on May 4, 2007. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Marinette Woman's Club. She had many volunteer hours at NWTC as a tutor. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, knitting, and crocheting.
Dorothy is survived by a son, David (Alisa) Kitzinger of Pittsburg, Penn.;
two daughters: Karen (Thomas) Loberger of Marinette, WI and Nancy Kitzinger of Kaukauna, WI;
four grandchildren: Robyn (Mark) Bourgeois, Michael (Julie) Loberger, Ryan (Jaclyn) and Alexander Kitzinger;
five great-grandchildren: Taylor and Kyle Loberger, Amanda Thoune, Amber Berman, and Austin Bourgeois;
many great-great grandchildren;
and two brothers: Everett (Pat) Waugus of Marinette, WI and Donald (Marlene) Waugus of Colgate, Wis.
She is further survived by special extended family members Kathi Kitzinger, and Stacey Kuffel and her children Hunter, JJ and Kennedy.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jerry, she is preceded in death by one sister, Doris (Leonard) Schomer; and brother, Clyde (Glenn) Waugus.
Visitation will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Thursday, March 1, from 10 a.m. until noon. Funeral services will be at noon, with Rev. James Wendt officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum.
