Mrs. Vickie Foster, funeral is Thursday

A funeral for Mrs. Vickie Lynn Foster, 36, of Fredericksburg, who died Sunday, Nov. 10, after an accident at Sumerduck Dragway, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. The Rev. John C. Briggs will officiate, and burial will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Greg Carr, Donald Parker, Henry Nicholson, Joshua Thompson, Darrin Parker and Frank Parker Jr.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born in Baltimore, Md., she was a volunteer teacher's aide at Chancellor Elementary School.

Survivors include her husband, Rick L. Foster; a son, Matthew Allen Foster of the home; three daughters, Theresa L. Foster, Patricia L. Foster and Melissa A Foster, all of the home; her father, Raymond B. Carr of Palmetto, Fla.; her mother Doris J. Carr of Baltimore, Md.; and a brother Greg S. Carr of Reisterstown, Md.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to a fund to help with medical expenses, Vicki and Matthew Foster Fund, c/o Central Fidelity National Bank, 4230 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, Va. 22407.
