Wayne James Loh, 71, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018, at CHI, St. Alexius.
Wayne was born July 15, 1946, at Bismarck, to Frank and Florence (Taix) Loh. He was raised and educated in Bismarck, North Dakota. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1964. Wayne attended Brown University and specialized in computer programing. Wayne was united in marriage to Renee Olson in 1972. Through this union they joyfully welcomed son Eric, and daughter Erin. Wayne worked as a computer programmer at MDU for over 30 years before retiring. He loved his career and was a genius as well as a human calculator, there was never a problem he couldn’t solve.
He loved nature, fishing, camping, going for drives, and socializing with multiple friends and family. Most of all he loved his children and grandchildren and called them daily and will be greatly missed by all. Dad you were our best friend and the best father we could have asked for. We can’t imagine life without you, so please be with us in spirit.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Erin (Wade) Fitterer; son, Eric Loh; sister, Jan (Bob) Hubal, all of Bismarck; grandchildren, Kaden, Kianna, and Ethan; niece, Shelly Hubal, cousin and best friend, Gene Taix; along with several other cousins.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary; close uncle James Taix, amongst other aunts and uncles.
