Mrs. Lucretia Allen

Mrs. Lucretia Allen, 89, of 604 Roseland Av., Williamstown, died Tuesday afternoon in Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Calhoun County March 15, 1879, a daughter of the late Francis Marion and Sarah Mace Houchin.

Mrs. Allen was a member of the Arnoldsburg Methodist Church.

She was married to John W. Allen Aug. 9, 1896. He died May 27, 1942.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Guy (Goldie) Shawver of Williamstown, with whom she had made her home since 1927; two brothers, G. C. Houchin and C. L. Houchin of Minnora; and one sister, Mrs. Clark King of Otto, Star Rt., Spencer; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister are deceased.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Doudna & McClure Funeral Home in Marietta with the Rev. Richard Nelson and Dr. J. Clair Jarvis officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
