Lena Jackson-Pickett, 85, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday. A native of Prattville, AL, she was the mother of rock-n-roll singer Wilson Pickett and a member of Greater Bethel Temple Apostolic Church. She is survived by her eleven children, a brother, 44 grandchildren, and 66 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at her church, 834 S. Third St., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at G.C. Williams Funeral Home. (Published in The Louisville Courier-Journal on May 3, 2003)
