Mary Virginia Wimmer Sargent, 97, of Princeton, passed away, Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Glenwood Retirement Village. Born March 22, 1921 in Spanishburg, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Eva Jane Morehead Wimmer. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her flowers and was a beautiful quilter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William R. (Bill) Sargent, two sons-in-law, Wayne Keillor and Jerrell Turpin along with brothers, Bernard, Lawrence, E.L., Robert and Harlan and sisters, Evelyn Smith, Ruth Sigmon and Berneice Cunningham. Surviving include her children, William D. and Cookie Sargent of Leesburg, VA, Gerolene Keillor of Princeton, Judy and Stephen Okes of Orlando, FL, Dena Turpin of Princeton and Randy and Florence Sargent of Speedway; One sister, Betty Snider and husband Mason of Speedway; Six grandchildren, Chris Sargent of Winchester, VA; Joshua Sargent of Connecticut, Mary Ann Crigger (Daniel) of Speedway, Thomas Turpin (Mary) and James Turpin of Princeton and Lindsey Okes of Orlando, FL; One step-daughter, Susan (Brian) Burkovsky of Leesburg, VA; Step-grandchildren, Timothy and Lauren Bukovsky of Leesburg; One great-grandchild, Owen Crigger of Speedway. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 19, 2018 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Ronnie Tote and Pastor Betty Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
