"Lorenz A. Tanzberger, 70, of Tina, was pronounced dead at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital yesterday after suffering a heart attack at his home.

Born Oct. 31, 1904, in St Louis County, he was the son of Charles Tanzberger and Mabel M. Charbonneau. On May 19, 1940, he married Marie Stipp in Carrollton. He attended schools in St Louis county and came to Carroll County in 1941, where he farmed and was an auctioneer until his retirement. He was a member of the United Church of Tina, Bogard Masonic Lodge No. 101 AF&AM, and the OES No. 271 of Bogard.

He is survived by his wife, Marie, of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Glineur of St Louis and Mrs. Pearl Schnell of St Louis; three nephews, Charles Schnell of St Louis, Dr. Mark Hosler of Taylorville and Stanton Hosler of Springfield. He was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Tanzberger, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Church of Tina conducted by Rev. Carl Hackman and assisted by Rev. Hugh Imbioden. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, June 7, 1975
