H. Warren Burr, 86, of Easton, died on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Talbot Hospice House in Easton. Warren was born on March 24, 1932, in Mappsville, VA, son of the late Howard William Burr and Louise Skinner Geib.

He graduated from Cordova High School in 1949 and attended the University of Maryland until 1951, when he left to work on the family farm in Denton. Warren then worked as a carpenter/ building contractor for 14 years, before joining the postal service in 1980 as a rural mail carrier until he retired.

Warren married the former Lillian Mae Behrens on June 8, 1952. They had four children and resided in Denton until Lillian’s death in 1997. Warren married the former Bobbi Frederick on March 3, 2001 and they resided in Easton.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cordova, a member of the Lions Club for 40 years, where he was District Governor in 1995-1996. Warren was also a Melvin Jones Fellow.

He is survived by his wife Bobbi; children, Linda Mae Boyles, Howard Warren Burr, Jr., Lorraine Marie Prete, and Beverly Ann Ward; grandchildren, Jason Deibel, Amanda, Andrea and Alison Ward, and Lauren and Alex Prete; a sister, Ethel Ann Milby. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Ewing and Faith Mayhew.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Hillsboro – Queen Anne United Methodist Church, 21991 Main St, Hillsboro, MD 21641. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be private at Woodlawn Memorial Park near Easton.
