Funeral services for Clifford V. Moore, 63, were held Saturday September 5, 1970 at the Raynor Lett & Kent Funeral Home with Rev. F.G. Barnes Officiating.
Music was provided by Rick Clipson and Mrs. Dean Dusenberry; flower bearers were Mrs. Donald Burgoin, Mrs. Jack Burgoin, and Mrs. Detlef Prien.
Casketbearers, Donald Burgoin, Kenneth Carlson, Marvin Goos, Arnold Kiersch, Geroge Miller and Ralph Steward.
Military graveside rites where held at the Silver City Cemetery by the Gordon May Post No. 439, American Legion, Silver City.
Clifford Van Kirk Moore was born at Silver City,Iowa to Charles Alvin and Annie Laura (Van Kirk)Moore, on Novebmer 9, 1906, and passed away September 2, 1970 at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha Nebraska, following ill health for the past five years.
He served his country in World War II, where he was a yeoman first class aboard the U.S.S. Prometheus. He was a member of Gordon May Post No. 439, The American Legion, at Silver City,and a member of Silver Light Lodge Number 400 A.F. & A.M., Silver city Chapter 536 and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Silver City.
Survivors are his sister, Eunice Moore Schroeder and niece, Theil Nielsen of Council Bluffs and Jeannine Shellman of Owosso, Michigan and nephew, Lynn Schroeder of San Antonio, Texas. There are three grand nieces Patricia and Janet Shellman and Lisa Nielsen. Also two grand nephews;Craig Nielsen and Michael Shellman.
