Graveside services for Tommy Cage will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Antioch Cemetery in Dixie Inn with Rev. Jerry Roten officiating.

Leonard Thomas “Tommy” Cage departed this life at home on the 18th of May 2018 to rejoin his beloved wife Clara to whom he was married for almost 51 years when she passed in 2016. Tommy was born on the 7th of December in 1940 to Leonard and Nella Mae “Patricia” (Fraser) Cage. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1958, serving for four years, before returning home and marrying his love, Clara on the 14th of August in 1965. He then began a long career with the Louisiana Department of Transportation as a bridge inspector during construction, retiring in 2003 with 34 years of dedicated service. After retirement he continued his career in highway construction, working for LTM for 5 years.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Clara, his sister Betty Stone, and his niece Kelly Hicks Hope. He is survived by his beloved daughter Kathi Holland and her husband Barry, and his two grandchildren that he loved so very much, Daniel and Lauren Holland. He is also survived by his brother Ricky Cage, his brother-in-law Cecil L. “Butch” Hicks, Jr. and his wife Chris, brother-in-law James Stone, several nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the nurses and aides on the stroke wing at Willis Knighton Pierremont, and the caring staff of Aime Hospice.
