Doris (Hoxsey) Kukla 94 of Sandwich Il. died May 17 2018 at home. She was born June 9 1923 in Serena Il. The daughter of Elmer and Minnie Hoxsey. She married Julian Kukla on January 16 1943 in Serena Il. He proceeded her in death in 1995. She lived all her married life Chicago, where was employed by Shriners Hospital for Children for many years before moving to Sandwich in 2003. She had two sons Michael (deceased 2006) and Gregory (wife Janet), one grandson Gregg and two great granddaughters Harlem and Ava. along with five nieces Marcia Chapman, Yvonne Joslin, Janet Ratcliff, Cindy Bailey, and Linda Cunningham. She was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Benita Carr, and brother Byron (Mamye) Hoxsey. Funeral services will be held at Beverage Family Funeral Home on May 23rd 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan DeWitt officiating. Visitation will be held same day from 12:00 noon till the time of service Burial to be held at West Serena Cemetery. Memorials maybe directed to Federated Church in Sandwich Il.
