Peter Joseph Bremmer died at his home Monday night, Feb 10, of pnemonia and heart trouble, after an illness of seven days, aged 62 years, 7 months and 28 days. The subject of this sketch was born June 13th 1839 in Euskerchen near Cologne on the Rhine, in the province of the Kingdom of Prussia, Germany. He emigrated with his parents to America in 1846 and settled in Monroe county, Ill. The family moved to Warren county in April 1869, his father having purchased the Randolph farm lying four miles north east of Pendleton. In Sept. 1872 Mr. Bremmer was married to Mrs. Louise Robinson, who still survives him. To this union four children were born, three sons and one daughter, John, Joseph, Claudius and Annie E. all of whom are living at Carrier, Okla. Joseph was summoned to his fathers bedside at once, John and his sister arrived later and were in attendance at the funeral services which were conducted by Dr. Addicks on Friday the 14th at the home where the friends of the deceased had gathered to pay the last tribute of respect to a generous neighbor. His remains were borne to the Warrenton cemetary and laid to rest by the side of his parents and brother. Besides the wife and four children he leaves an elder and only brot [sic] mourn his loss.
