Sara Fae Warburton was born on May 14, 1915 in Early, Iowa to John and Alma (Patee) Pullen. The family moved to Clay County in her early years where she attended school and was active in the county 4-H program, graduating from Spencer High School in 1933. She was a life member of Grace Methodist Church. Following high school, she worked for Agricultural Assistance Association. On November 19, 1939, she married William (Bill) Warburton in Spencer, Iowa. She later was employed in the Clay County Treasurer's office for 27 years where she was a bookkeeper and the deputy treasurer. Following retirement she volunteered at the hospital and Grace Methodist Church. Sara enjoyed needle work. Sara moved to Minnesota in 1999 to be near her daughter and family. Sara passed away on December 11, 2010 at the Samaritan Bethany Heights Nursing Home in Rochester, MN at the age of 95. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill and brother Kenneth. She is survived by her daughter, Jacquie and husband John Connelly of Byron, MN; 4 grandchildren: Kevin (Kathy) Connelly, Kelly (Mike) Bale, Karla Connelly and Kurt (Beth) Connelly; 5 great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Schwarck of Spencer, Iowa; nieces and nephews.
