Obituary - A resident of Smithtown for forty-one years, Alfred A. Armbrust, 61 of Blydenburgh Avenue died suddenly on September 22. He was born in Mattituck. At one time he was a landscape gardener on an estate in Nissequogue and later he owned and operated a gas station for many years on Main Street, Smithtown. The Reverend John Bardsley officiated at services held on Sunday evening at the Russell B. Hawkins Funeral Home with interment taking place on Monday morning. The survivors are his wife, Mary E. (nee Zuchorski); a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Hawkins; a son, Raymond Armbrust, and three grandchildren, all of Smithtown. Also five brothers, Herbert and Herman of Smithtown; August, Rudolph and Walter of Mattituck, and a sister, Elsie Charters of Mattituck.
