Thelma I. Blanton, age 92 of Plainfield, passed away on June 1, 2018. Thelma was born on July 1, 1925 in Indianapolis to Earl and Nina Hickman Deitrich. She was the widow of Tom “Elvin” Blanton. She worked as a waitress in Blanton’s restaurant and Al’s donuts for over 20 years. Calling hours will be on Tuesday June 5, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Survivors include her son Chester Blanton and wife Mary Ann. Daughter Jennie Rose and husband Tom. 1 Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her grandson Cody Blanton.
