VELMA G. DOOLING
Velma Gladys Dooling, 63, died this morning at her home, 418 E. Lee.
Born Feb. 6, 1916, near Dederick, she was the daughter of George and Susie Barkdoll Klumpp. She was raised in the Dederick area, and most of her lifetime was spent in Kansas City. She was married July 10, 1945, at Mound City, Kansas, to William H. Dooling. They moved to Nevada from Garner, Kansas, April 28, 1975. Mr. Dooling died April 1, 1978. She was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Betty Louise) Schneweis, Concordia, Kansas; three brothers, George Klumpp, El Dorado Springs, Ed Klumpp, Iowa state, and Lloyd Klumpp, St. Clair; three sisters, Iva Hartman and Ida Harris, both of Montana state, and Minnie Doris of Nevada, and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Water Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Dederick.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
