Conrad Luft, 75, died this morning at 4:10 o'clock at his home, 323 Dove street, after five months of ill health.

Mr. Luft was born in the German Volga district, July 14, 1860. On Jan. 1, 1886, he married Miss Anna Marie Weigandt. They came to this country in 1888 and settled at Pine Island, N.Y., where they lived for 11 years, after which they came to Oshkosh.

The Lufts were the first family to leave the Volga settlement and come to this country and also the first family of the German Volga group to settle in Oshkosh.

Mr. Luft was a member of Zion Lutheran church.

Survivors are his wife; and four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Scheuerman, of Pine Island, N.Y.; Mrs. Emilie Pickett, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. Anne Schmidt, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Susie Youngman, Highland Park, N.J. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, George Luft, Goshen, N.Y.; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Lust, Pine Island, N.Y.; and Mrs. Henry Paffenroth, Oshkosh.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at Zion Lutheran church. The Rev. Leo Oberleiter will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial park. Those wishing to view the remains may do so at the home Tuesday afternoon and until the time of the services.
