Janice R. Fehringer, 78, of Gering, died Sunday evening, Aug. 9, 2015, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 14, with Father Michael Bodzioch officiating. Rosary services will be at 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 13. Both services will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peetz, Colorado. Graveside services will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery following Mass.

Janice Rose Fehringer, the daughter of Henry and Gladys (Foster) Yeager, was born on March 26, 1937, in Scotts Bluff County.

Following graduation from Scottsbluff High School, Janice attended Scottsbluff Junior College where she met Donald Devier. On April 21, 1956, they were united in marriage. When Don passed away in 1971, Janice sold the farm near Dalton and moved the family to Sidney.

On Aug. 11, 1972, Janice was united in marriage to George C. Fehringer in Dalton. They then made their home on the Fehringer family farm West of Peetz. When the children were grown, Janice became a hairdresser in Sidney. In 2009, they sold the family farm and moved to Gering.

Janice was a long time member of the Sidney Art Guild. She enjoyed painting, quilting, and sewing and won multiple awards for her handiwork. Janice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also spent many hours in her garden and always treasured her beautiful flowers.

Survivors include her children, Roxanne Watson and husband Peter, and Michael Devier all of Golden, Colorado, Suzanne Devier of Denver, Colorado, and Shawn Fehringer and wife Amy of Thornton, Colorado; three grandchildren, Mariah Hodgens and Maeve and Clara Fehringer; siblings, Ted Yeager and wife Sherry of Gering, Dick Yeager of Mitchell and Cheryl Rupp of Gering; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ron Devier of Dalton, Marge Shupe of Scottsdale, Arizona and Marva Buettner of Manteca, California, Dot Fehringer of Sidney, Kate Zach of Salem, Oregon, sister Clara Fehringer of Lexington, Kentucky and Jack Fehringer and wife Mary Ann of Loveland, Colorado; numerous extended family members and friends.

Janice was preceded in death by both husbands, her daughter, Darlet Devier, and several extended family members.
